The Cushy Puff comprises 2 parts - the inner pillow and the outer cover. To get cushy, follow these instructions:

1. Gather. Put your hands through the outer cover's middle and gather it until you reach the far end. 
2. Pull. Pull the inner pillow into the gathered up out cover and keep pulling until the inner pillow reaches the far end of the outer pillow.
3. Jiggle. Shake the outer cover downward, until it reaches the far end of the pillow. You might need to give it a good jiggle! 
4. Knot. Tie a knot at each end of the outer cover where the firmness feels right for you. Of course, these can be adjusted as and when you need to.
